I am a Chartered Building Surveyor, Corporate Civil Engineer, Arbitrator, Project Manager, Construction & Engineering Adjuster, with my office in Ermington, South Devon.

I have experience in all forms of structural surveying to include, historic and modern buildings; major structures; barns (for both structural and planning purposes); thatch and cob.

​

I am experienced in private practice and contract works, insurance surveying and adjusting and contract administration.

​

I am also legally qualified and have been appointed as expert witness on several civil claims.

​

As an experienced surveyor I have negotiated and prepared scaffold and crane licences and easements using various acts of parliament.

​

I have extensive knowledge of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 and, as such, I have acted as Party Wall Surveyor for both the building and adjoining owners and have been consulted as third surveyor on Party Wall related issues where the two original surveyors have been unable to resolve a dispute.

I have also carried out cost analysis for negotiated prices and cost claims analysis and prepared claims in respect of delay analysis etc.

My civil engineering background has got me involved in many major complex and residential surveying works; wharf/dock walls; landslips; earthquake preventative works; commercial surveys; domestic property surveys.

Due to my general engineering and legal bias I get involved in more complex projects than most surveyors, and take a practical and pragmatic approach to any situation.
